HILACIONES

Silvia Garza, artista visual de la ciudad de Monterrey, egresada de la UANL en el año 2005, presentará este mes la exposición ¨Hilaciones¨ que reune obra de su más reciente trabajo escultórico. Anteriormente esta artista emergente ha expuesto su trabajo en diferentes espacios de Nuevo León.
La cita es el Jueves 26 de Junio a las 8:00 pm en Pez Turquesa Espacio Creativo en Ave. Paseo de los leones #1305B (planta alta) casi esquina con Dr. Enrique C. Livas, Col. Cumbres 1er sector en Monterrey N.L.

Angélica Bracho, colorista del comic METEORIX, artista plástica de Monterrey, presentará este mes la exposición Zen(it) donde reune obras de pintura digital y tradicional. Anteriormente Angélica ya habia expuesto dentro de la muestra "5 Sentidos" de ECODART con otros pintores regiomontanos.

One January afternoon-night of 2008, friends conversing of different things, referring of production, we were speaking about having a pushing font of proposals inside of the art market, without infer in a particular concept, simply in a space that gave us the opportunity to exhibit in a continue way our own production. I remember that we insist in the circumstance of introduce that production to the public , having the reference than a space can be a good catalyser because it permits the entry and fluidity o people, just when there's someone with the conscience that is interested in something is because it have a particular interest, is specific in its taste. With the options that we had and noticing that our generation colleagues had the same interest that their own production has more direct access we decide to do something about it.

One chance came after other, and then another was open and by the time we looked around us the plan was already made: an empty space to be filled.

Like a music box that when you give it some charge the mesh start to spin creating those rhythmic smashes against the cylinder , we started to work in the space. Toon toon traka boom kuazz...

White walls, a big shop window that welcomes every passer-by or curious pedestrian, we were immersed in the fact of breaking the idea of a posh gallery where just some people get inside. No! we preferred start planifying how to make this place the sufficiently friendly and not having things with other aggregated values than the ones they really are: painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, embroidery, accessories, shirts, wall painting decoration, origami, curses... without those conditions that chokes every agitated throat hungry of saying, propose and let itself been seen.

We thank God and the collaboration and support of all of our friends and colleagues. The project started having shape and without them this wouldn't been possible:

Una tarde - noche de enero del 2008, amigos conversando entre otras cosas referentes a la producción hablabamos de tener una fuente de empuje a propuestas dentro del mercado del arte, sin inferir en lo particular, simplemente en un espacio que diera la oportunidad de exponer de manera continua la producción propia. Recuerdo que insistiamos en la circunstancia de introducir dicha producción al espectador, teniendo el referente de que un espacio puede ser un buen catalizador ya que permite la entrada y salida de personas , solo quien se interesa en algo de manera consciente es que busca tal o cual cosa, un individuo busca de manera específica. Dadas las opciones que teníamos a nuestro alrededor , además de notar que muchos de nuestros compañeros de generaciones tenían el interés de que el acceso a su producción fuese mas directo nos decidimos a hacer algo por ello.
Una oportunidad se abrió , de ahí otra y luego la siguiente, cuando volteamos a nuestro alrededor el plan estaba hecho: un espacio vacío para ser llenado.
Como a la caja musical que le das cuerda y los engranes empiezan a girar para crear esos rítimicos golpeteos contra el rodillo de metal, empezamos a trabajar en el espacio.Tun tun traka boom cuazzz...
Paredes blancas, una amplia vitrina que da la bienvenida a cualquier transeunte o curioso peatón nos encontrabamos inmersas en el hecho de romper con la idea de la galería posh en donde solo entran los que apunta el dedo indice de ciro peraloca, no! preferimos empezar a planear cómo hacer que este espacio fuera lo suficientemente amigable para que las cosas no tuvieran otro valor agregado que el de lo que son: pintura, escultura, dibujo, fotografía, bordado, accesorios, playeras, decoración pictórica, papiroflexia, cursos... sin esas condiciones que ahogan cualquier garganta agitada por decir, por proponer, por dejarse ver.

Gracias a Dios , a la colaboración y apoyo de tantos amigos y colegas el proyecto empezó a tomar forma, sin ellos esto no hubiera sido posible:
